accidental WORLD : Trick-or-treat?

All Hallows Eve or Hallowe'en

Hallowe'en is a celebration with common activities such as trick-or-treating, wearing costumes, carving jack-o'-lantern, watching horror films, bonfires and etc. starting from October 31st every year. It's rooted from Celtic festival of Samhain (summer's end) and became a well-known American tradition, celebrated by all Christian countries.

Do you know what are the functions of the costumes? It's actually to allow passing through of spirits, and in order to ward off the harmful spirits, wearing of costumes and masks come in handy to disguise oneself as one of the harmful spirit! Haha.

So, "trick-or treat" is an ultimatum given by children who call on houses to solicit gifts at Hallowe'en in return for prayers for the dead. And nowadays people often give out candies to childrens who souls in early November.

We all know sugars are bad for teeth and a perfect chance of tooth decay formation! So what are the solution to this? In US, dentists are enlisted to join Halloween Candy Buy Back programme where all the extra candies that children don't need and parents don't want are collected by dentists, not for free, but in return of $1 per pound of candy.

That is totally awesome, if u ask me. Zero sugar is not good either, but in certain amount it's fine, and this is a way to keep the fun. All the candies collected will be donated to Operation Gratitude.

So there you go. Mind you, it's not the celebration that we are focusing on here, but the good deeds dentists are giving back to the community that we must adore, not just to treat problems that patients come to you with.
Tooth decay was a perennial national problem that meant a mouthful of silver for patients, and for dentists a pocketful of gold.  ~Claudia Wallis
Oh, just for fun, if I would have to wear a costume, I would wear this. Do want!

Haha, enjoy your weekend! xoxo :)

Besides, futsal (brothers) team got second place last year and hopefully after kicking balls for almost everyday for the past few weeks, we could be better than last year." He also added that this year is the first time our Kulliyyah is sending players for handball and squash. Not to forget, goodluck to ping pong and netball team. Make us proud ya!
